SOLER's next journal club event will take place this Thursday, October 22nd from 3-4 pm on Zoom. (Apologies for the short notice!)
In this special edition of our journal club series, we will discuss preliminary results from one of SOLER's own projects: a mixed-methods collaboration with the University Writing (UW) program to examine how and why students use generative AI and how it impacts their learning, writing, and instructors' workloads.
We recently prepared a briefing for Provost Olinto about the project, and we will use that document as the "article" for this week's discussion.
The session will be led by Kiran Samuel, a PhD candidate in Sociology and SOLER graduate student assistant who has been a core member of the research team for this project.
