Augustin Chaintreau

Computer Science

Augustin Chaintreau analyzes the mathematics of personal information, measures online social applications at scale, and designs algorithms that run on those large data sets. Those data are the bits your cellphone, your credit card, this website, and your social media transmit every time you interact with them. In large quantities, those bits about human behaviors and social interactions exhibit unique mathematical properties, best described with probabilities and graphs.
