Education

Our AI education program is embedded across departments in the School as well as in extensive online programs and outreach activities. Comprehensive course offerings in AI can be found in many departments, such as Computer Science, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and others, as well as in the top-ranked online graduate education program, Columbia Video Network (CVN).

The ColumbiaX MicroMasters in Artificial Intelligence is a professional and academic credential offered by edX.org for online learners from anywhere in the world. Learners who successfully complete all four of the courses will earn a MicroMasters credential from ColumbiaX, and can then apply for an accelerated master’s degree program at Columbia.

The courses include video lectures, quizzes, programming assignments, peer-reviewed assignments, and community discussion forums. Learners who successfully complete all courses in the MicroMasters program on edX receive a MicroMasters Certificate that they can share on their resume, LinkedIn, and CVN. Additionally, those who have successfully completed the MicroMasters can apply the 7.5 course credits they have earned towards the MS degree in Computer Science at Columbia.
